The MindGym was developed by Lumena out of Denver, CO. It is a multifunctional cognitive performance training device. It's a 7'x7'x7' cube that transports you into what feels like infinite space. The inside is hyper-reflective and lined with LED lights. In the middle sits a chair and noise-cancelling headphones. From the micro-sized kiosk just outside the door, you can select from over 30 different programs designed to strengthen your mental performance, improve your focus, increase relaxation, and guide you through mindfulness exercises. Sessions range in length from 10 minutes to 30 minutes and you have an option to use an EEG headband that records your brain activity and provides a digital "report card" following your session. This method allows you to track your training progress over time.

Opening the door for the first time was something I'll never forget. As someone that is constantly striving to improve my own mental fitness and cognitive performance, I knew immediately I was about to experience something special. And the MindGym did NOT disappoint. No screens, no distractions, no chaos...just peace. It was something I hadn't experienced in as long as I could remember. Sitting there in the stillness of what felt like infinite space I could feel myself floating as the lights danced up and down changing color to the binaural sounds playing through the headphones. I have since spent over five hours in the MindGym and have tested almost all the different sessions. I definitely have a couple of favorites, like "Further" and "Stroboscopic", but there isn't one that I wouldn't recommend. Here are some other users that share their experiences with the MindGym.
